Within DCS Fair Trading, Policy & Delivery, the Long Service Corporation (LSC) manages building and construction industry and contract cleaning industry portable long service schemes. We are based in Gosford and currently have a team of around 120 dedicated staff focused on improving our customers’ experience.
About the role
We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Business Analyst who will be responsible for interpreting and applying complex legislation into actionable business requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain knowledge of legislation relevant to the business, to ensure that documentation, reporting and analysis is in line with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Support the identification, analysis and documentation of business processes, system and other functional and non-functional requirements to support the development of digital products and service improvements.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders and users to understand and analyse business problems.
- Work with stakeholders including solution architects, product owners and other subject matter experts to document and provide relevant business solutions, ensuring proper communication of business requirements to IT solution requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Degree qualification in a relevant area and/or demonstrated experience in supporting business analysis (digital)
- Experience working on multiple projects in agile and waterfall project environments.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An ability to think innovatively and support the development of solutions fit for purpose.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines and balance competing needs.
- Understanding of CRM systems (experience with Salesforce will be highly regarded)
- Ability to assess the impact of legislation on business processes, systems and operations and apply complex legislation into actionable business requirements.
- Knowledge and experience with LSC schemes will be highly regarded.
