Business Intelligence Analyst
Offering a salary of up to £45,000, plus excellent company benefits.

About the role:
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data related to housing maintenance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, ultimately contributing to the enhancement of our services, profitability and customer experience.
Over the years Mears has continued to build upon its broad range of in house developed systems, the success of this has been built on the foundation of a brilliant and highly skilled development and test team.
Mears continue to push the envelope for their in-house solutions, delivering responsive, secure, and performant applications across a varied mix of platforms. To support this, the business intelligence team play an active role in all stages of the data lifecycle from architectural design to generating actionable insight.
Key elements of the role will involve:
- Collect and organize data from various sources, including databases, data lakes, surveys, and reports.
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decision-making.
- Develop and maintain data models and reporting solutions to manage business performance.
- Create and present data-driven reports to support management in making informed decisions.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather data and insights relevant to housing maintenance operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations to improve service quality and efficiency.
- Assist in the development of predictive models and forecasting related to maintenance needs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
- Contribute to best-practice management of central data stores and distribution of any data assets.

Role Criteria:
- A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field is not essential but advantageous.
- Proven experience in data analysis or a similar analytical role is essential, preferably in a housing or property management context.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Pyspark, R).
- Knowledge/experience of data engineering tooling (SSIS, ADF, Synapse).
- Knowledge/experience of data science solutions (ML, statistical analysis).
- Knowledge/experience of cloud data platforms (Azure).
- Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative within agreed timescales.
- A strong visual designer with great attention to detail skillsets.
- Experience in working with Power BI will also be seen as advantageous.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, have great attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and a strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
