Working as key member of the Delivery Team, the Business Analyst will be engaged in a series of data focused projects for colleagues and clients across The Group, delivering the analytical output that will drive business performance.
The Delivery Team will work across multiple projects to design & develop data driven solutions as well as collaborating closely with colleagues across The Group to identify opportunities and determine business requirements for development.
Experience Requirements:
- An appropriately detailed understanding of insurance broking activities, associated terminology and key financial & technical performance indicators – ideally gained from a minimum of 3yrs+ experience with a multi-national insurance brokerage.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems or similar.
- Min. 3+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, ideally with a highly data-driven / insurance background.
- Proven ability in assuring project meets quality standards by providing guidance and developing procedures relating to product quality.
- Experience in applying problem-solving methodologies and tools to diagnose and solve operational problems, specifically in relation to challenges faced in an insurance broking environment.
- Experience in providing technical guidance to enable others and solving technical queries – this includes direction & support on the design of solutions relating to insurance-specific processes and methodologies, including the calculation of industry standard metrics & an understanding of the key drivers of broker performance.
- Knowledge in business analysis methodologies and has awareness of new and emerging technologies and developments.
- Experience with data analysis, data architecture, data flows and mapping is desirable.
- Good understanding of database concepts and understanding of structures would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Business Intelligence strategies/design as it relates to Data analysis, specifically in relation to the reporting of financial & technical performance metrics in an insurance broking environment.
- Experience with one or more BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik is desirable.

- Excellent communication & presentation skills. Able to communicate and explain clearly, concisely, and effectively with both business end users and technical teams.
