We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst who will be responsible for handling the business analysis efforts across a programme of multiple interdependent IT projects. VGIE is embarking on an exciting digital journey, and you will play a vital role in getting us there.
The successful candidate will be responsible for several key tasks including but not limited to the following:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Collaborate and conduct workshops with stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business requirements for new projects and initiatives.
- Translation of gathered business requirements into IT/Technical requirements.
- Analyse and prioritize requirements, considering business value, feasibility, interdependencies and impact on stakeholders.
- Use various techniques such as business process modelling, use case analysis, and user story mapping to capture and document requirements effectively.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, IT teams, and project sponsors.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, requirements status, and issues to stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on best practices, techniques, and tools for requirements elicitation, analysis, and management.
- Contribute to the development of business analysis standards, methodologies, and frameworks within the organization.
Solution Design and Testing:
- Work closely with solution architects and project teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical designs.
- Review and validate proposed solutions to ensure that they meet business needs and align with architectural guidelines and standards.
- Collaborate with Testing teams to create test plans, test cases and participate in testing and validation activities as needed.
- Ensure all requirements have been covered by UAT and that all Business Requirements can be validated against the connect IT requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization through analysis of existing business processes and systems.
Requirements Management and Traceability:
- Establish and maintain a requirements management framework, including tools, templates, and processes for documenting, tracking, and managing requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure traceability of requirements from inception to implementation and maintain version control and change management for requirements artifacts.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business or a related field.
- Min.5 years as a Business Analyst, with a track record of successfully delivering business requirements for complex projects and initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analysis complex business processes, systems, and data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation techniques, such as interviews, workshops, use cases, and user stories.
- Experience with business process modeling tools (e.g. JIRA).
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
