Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to ensure that developed solutions meet business requirements and are free of defects, thereby ensuring the overall quality of applications and products. The QA Analyst will work independently to define test requirements, track progress, and ensure that testing is completed effectively throughout the development lifecycle.
- Understand project scope and collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements.
- Develop and execute test cases in accordance with the project schedule and perform Quality Assurance Testing (QAT).
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by conducting training sessions for UAT testers alongside Business/Product Owners.
- Identify critical IT issues within the QA role and work on timely resolutions.
- Ensure that all QA documentation and SEM documents are completed, reviewed, and approved according to organizational processes.
- Participate in requirement gathering meetings and functional design document review sessions to understand system requirements.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Business/Product Owners to clarify unclear or ambiguous requirements.
- Prepare test data and ensure the QA environment is fully set up for test case execution, including any relevant interfaces.
- Manage defects, including identifying QAT defects, tracking remediation, and maintaining defect traceability to user stories.
- Work with Product Owners to prioritize defect resolution and assist with backlog prioritization.
- Facilitate defect triage meetings as needed.
- Collaborate with Tech Leads and Developers to ensure clarity in defect identification and resolution.
- Assist UI/UX Designers in identifying usability defects and providing feedback when necessary.
- Collaborate with QA Specialists on complex projects to ensure deliverables meet the required quality standards.
- Provide input and analysis to support Go/No Go project decisions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a QA Analyst or in a similar role, with a strong background in functional and usability testing.
- Strong knowledge of test case development, defect management, and user story traceability.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and training testers.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Tech Leads, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to resolve critical issues.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in identifying issues and improving processes.
