IT Business Analyst / Product Owner

The Product Owner's / Business Analyst's role is to gain a deep understanding of the business, their strategy and what enhancement or change would be of highest value or lowering risk.
Once identified, the Product Owner leads the digital "product" by analysis and clearly articulating the feature or project to ensure business alignment and understanding from the technical team to collaboratively design, build and implement the solution.

The Product Owner must ensure that:

The digital product has a clear vision for their product and/or initiative.
The vision and impact are further defined into executable EPIC's, User Stories and/or Features.
Communication within both business and technical teams are effective.
An environment of high trust is maintained.

This person must take on an active leadership role, leading and directing the product or initiative from design to user adoption.

The Product Owner is closely supported by the CIO, Scrum Master and Technical Team to ensure successful execution.

Qualifications:

Relevant degree or course(s) in Agile, DevOps, Product Owner, Business Analyses or related field.

Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 3 years proven experience in a similar role.
Experience working on Large Scope Projects.
Experience within the Trade and Financial industry.
Forward thinking and the ability to develop a long-term [URL Removed] thinker.
The ability to understand Afrikaans will be highly advantageous
Excellent knowledge of DevOps and Agile (both SCRUM and KANBAN) practices.
Background in Business Analytics.
System design and enhancements through DevOps & Continuous improvement.
Solid understanding of team dynamics, systems thinking and business operations.
Experience in working with technical team members.
Leadership
Being able to "hold the line" with business pressures and protecting team flow and dynamics.
Outstanding Communication Skills
Being able to communicate, resolve conflict and provide practical ways forward is key to the role.

Coaching:
Coach both business and technical teams on DevOps and Agile best practice, change management.
Solid understating of how to design a coherent system from various departments and user requirements.

Ability to explain complex concepts or technical jargon in simple and applicable terms.
