Overview:
This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with 2 or 3 days in office once minimum standards have been achieved.
\Supports the business lenders in performing analysis on diverse types of borrowers (both individuals and businesses) and completes credit memorandums for new and existing credit union relationships. Assists lenders in determining the most appropriate loan structure and provides information and assistance to the Vice President Chief Credit Officer as needed.

Maximum: $111,385

Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include inputting and analyzing financial data (tax returns, financial statements, and credit bureaus) to determine business and global cash flow of commercial borrowers and to interpret the repayment capacity of borrowers to minimize risk and help grow revenue for the credit union. The Business Credit Analyst is crucial in ensuring loan packages are complete according to bank policy and regulatory guidelines, monitoring covenant compliance, and for completing timely annual reviews on large loan customers.
Completes annually required Product and Process Knowledge competency testing, in addition to job related courses as established by Harborstone Credit Union policies and/or practices.

Qualifications:
- Credit risk analysis skills.
- Thorough understanding of global cash flow and underwriting criteria.
- Loan documentation and application system knowledge (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of credit union, state and federal policies, procedures and laws regarding lending.
- Sageworks Analyst software operating system (preferred).
- Operate standard office equipment such as a copier, computer terminal, typewriter, calculator, etc., which may require continuous or repetitive arm/hand movement. Type 35 w.p.m.
- Accurately perform data input.
- Perform basic to complex math calculations.
- Present a positive image to members through appearance, actions and behavior.
- Use tact and diplomacy in handling confidential information related to credit union operations, members, and employees.
- Learn job-related material primarily through continued learning, oral instruction and observation.
- Physically perform the essential job functions including, but not limited to, sitting for up to four hours at a time and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Five or more years’ work experience in a financial institution, in commercial lending and credit administration preferred.
Three years’ credit experience. Experience with processing commercial loans, accounting knowledge is helpful.
