Citizenship Requirements
Candidate MUST be a US Citizen. (This is different than work authorization.) This role is for a federal client and citizenship is non-negotiable.
Upon position being accepted, candidate must be able to come into office to complete paperwork, verify identification and pick up laptop. Candidates outside of the Rockville, MD area are responsible for any and all travel expenses to the IvoryCloud offices. After a 90 day probation period, employee will be reimbursed.
Primary Role
Responsible for synthesizing Product Owner's requirements into JIRA and is very familiar with systems and the ways different systems can connect. The Business Analyst will be helping our clients with identifying issues with their existing application, building out additional functionality as priorities arise, and optimizing business workflows. The candidate will work closely with engineers, developers, and QA testers to ensure the proper implementation of these changes.
Education
B.S. in Business/Technology related Field
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Owner, other business stakeholders, solution architects, engineers, testers, and developers to understand the product vision/roadmap and translate into product backlog items
- Define requirements and synthesize them into JIRA
- Documentation of current state of multiple systems, including systems interface, integration, migration, and APIs
- Facilitate consensus on requirement objectives, assumptions, and constraints among business stakeholders and development team
- Strong understanding of the Product Lifecycle, and how to elicit requirements from functional Product Owner and business stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver clear, concise presentations to key stakeholders and development team, to explain proposed changes, their impact, and the benefits of the proposed enhancements.
Experience
- Experience with documentation in Jira from multiple business partners
- Strong experience in systems migration, integration, and interface
- Self-starter and adaptable to fast paced environment and changing requirements
- Experience working as an Agile Business Analyst for a large enterprise system is a plus
- Experience with Requirements and Issue Management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla)
- 2-3 years of experience in a business analyst role
