POSITION PURPOSE (Summary)
The Business Analyst Project Manager reports to the Chief Executive Officer. This dual role position is crucial in supporting the coordination and organization of multi-departmental EMR/EHR projects that are critical to Madison Valley Medical Center’s (MVMC) efficiency and operations. The role will involve collaborating with department heads to streamline workflows, facilitating communication with EMR/EHR vendors (specifically Oracle Health), and managing contract and financial data relevant to department operations, including the renewal schedules and expiration of critical contracts.
This position requires in-depth analysis and research of potential solutions that address current challenges and opportunities for improvement across MVMC’s operations. By mapping and optimizing processes, this position will ensure that each department has the resources, communication channels, and financial information necessary to operate effectively. The position requires a high degree of organization, an analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to improving the hospital's operational performance.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works collaboratively with department heads to streamline workflows, facilitating communication with essential vendors.
- Assists with the management of contracts and financial data relevant to department operations, including the renewal schedules and expiration of critical contracts.
- Collaborate with departments throughout the organization to design and implement solutions within the EMR/EHR.
- Lead project meetings as necessary.
- Design, build, and maintain forms and consoles in order to support/enhance the EMR/EHR.
- Perform quality assurance and testing on work completed to ensure required specifications are met.
- Determine root cause and solutions for any issues preventing the proper functioning of the EMR/EHR or related applications.
- Closely work with EMR/EHR vendor to resolve system issues as needed and know appropriate steps for escalation.
- Develop detailed plans, schedules, estimates, and status for work assigned
- Assist other staff with training on the operation of software products supported by the EMR/EHR as needed.
- Requires the ability to map and optimize processes to ensure that each department has the resources, communication channels, and financial information necessary to operate effectively.
- Must have the ability to rapidly build relationships across the organization, along with a commitment to applying structured business and technical skills.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(Education, License/Registration, Experience, Knowledge and Abilities)
Master’s degree in business-related discipline or hospital administration, with a basic understanding of healthcare operations and a keen interest to learn the unique demands of a critical access hospital preferred.
- Experience in business analysis and project management preferred.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable project plans and technical specifications.
- Strong analytics and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (QlikView, Oracle-SQL, Tableau, Monday.com) to support business analysis and decision-making.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
