About the role
Mrs. Alice is a fast growing homewares brand designing and curating seasonal collections of tablescapes, tableware and homeware. The brand launched in 2019 and has been growing rapidly since, serving customers worldwide from www.mrsalice.com.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Junior Merchandiser to work alongside the Buying, Fulfilment and Ecommerce teams to take responsibility for the merchandising function of Mrs. Alice, maximising brand growth through dynamic management of stock and budgets across all product categories.
As Junior Merchandiser, you will support the management and optimisation of stock in the business through reporting, forecasting, repurchasing, inventory admin and key supplier support.
The successful candidate will be someone who will relish the challenge of scaling a fast growing business alongside a small team, someone who's experienced in merchandising, motivated to get hands-on and take responsibilities outside their role.
Responsibilities
Systems and data lead
- Maintain and develop our stock systems to ensure high levels of automations across our tech stack giving the business greater efficiency
- Champion and summarize feature add ons to our tech stack and effectively present recommended go-forward strategies and train key stakeholders
- Build and interpret dashboards on customer data to understand how to optimize product sales and drive greater customer life time value
- Streamline business processes by identifying and implementing technology-based improvements.
- Maintain accurate data within business systems to support data-driven decision-making to promote better working practices.
Supplier Optimisation
- Work with the buying team to develop forecasts and joint strategies with suppliers
- Review supplier terms & margins in order to recommend areas for improvement
Stock management
- Identify opportunities and manage the process for Transfer of stock when required across our warehouses (and retail stores)
Reporting and forecasting
- Create and regularly upkeep set of historical stock & sales reports and forecasts
- Collaborate with Merch and Buying to provide data dashboards and analysis on performance and forecast insights to support with with seasonal range planning
- Work proactively with senior management to recommend sales, stock and margin targets in line with the companies growth
- Excellent technical knowledge of and experience implementing merchandising systems and processes
- Proven track record and recent comparable experience in mid or senior level merchandising roles for 3+ years. Experience with Bright Pearl would be an asset.
- Highly numerate and analytical with experience of advanced excel/google sheet skills and confidence working with large data sets and SQL knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving dynamic retail environment - we are a scrappy start up, that make things happen!
- Strong commercial, analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong project management and organizational skill
- Experience working cross team, managing upwards and downwards
- A bonus to have experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
