In RTÉ Technology we are responsible for leading and driving the implementation of the technology strategy, and for stimulating change and new ways of working across the organization, empowering and enabling RTÉ to be an effective and efficient digital content and channels business.
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our Product Development & Software Engineering team, helping design and deliver some of the most high-profile online products in Ireland, including RTÉ.ie, RTÉ Player, and the RTÉ News app.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, release and ongoing enhancement of multiple high-profile, public-facing applications and systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders (technical and non-technical) to elicit and understand business needs, translating them into documented business and technical requirements
- Analyse existing business and technology processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement or optimization
- Create technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, API specifications, and system workflows.
- Work closely with developers, architects, along with other team members and vendors to design & test technical solutions that meet business requirements
- Coordinate delivery of requirements based on resource availability, track delivery progress, identify risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders
Requirements
- A proven track record working in a technical business analysis role, in a public-facing product or software development environment
- Strong technical knowledge across both client and server-side applications in complex distributed systems
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills, with the ability and inclination to analyse requirements and issues in detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent work strands across agile sprint and larger project deliveries

This appointment is being offered on a full-time ongoing contract. The salary scale is from €49,542 to € 83,134 gross per annum and the candidate will be appointed at a level commensurate with their skills and experience.
