About the role
We’re seeking a dynamic and self-starting individual to join our lean, high-impact team as a Data and Reporting Analyst. This role is pivotal in driving organisational value by creating insights from data, improving processes, and collaborating with senior leaders to support business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with exceptional analytical and reporting skills who is eager to take on a broader role that includes management, innovation, and implementation.
About the team
The Capability Team exists to build the frameworks, structures, and culture that empower our team to thrive. We are not HR, but we focus on creating an environment where people can maximise their potential, driving organisational success through empowering our team and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Pull and analyse data sets related to HR, workforce planning, and other operational areas.
- Create, arrange, and present insightful reports for Senior Management Teams (SMTs), ensuring data is clear and actionable.
- Develop dashboards and internal reports to support organisational decision-making.
Collaboration & Problem Solving:
- Act as the “golden thread” between teams, quantifying work and highlighting value-add activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Senior Management Teams, to identify challenges and use data to back up solutions.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation across the organisation.
HR & Workforce Insights:
- Analyse HR data, including probation periods, exit interviews, performance management, and training metrics.
- Contribute to workforce planning by leveraging data to support strategic decisions.
Process Optimisation:
- Evaluate and improve existing reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Innovate by automating repetitive tasks and driving the adoption of improved tools or methods.
Strategic Contribution:
- Help evidence organisational challenges with robust data-backed insights.
- Play a key role in making the organisation a better place to work through actionable recommendations based on data.
- Strong analytical skills and expertise in Google Sheets and Excel.
- Ability to manage senior stakeholder expectationsInterest in organisational management and the people side of business improvement.
- A proactive self-starter with excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and build credibility through data insights.
- Passionate about spotting inefficiencies and implementing creative solutions in a lean team environment.
- Previous experience in utilities or a similar industry is a plus.
